You're Doing Too Much
Keep It Simple Stupid
Your customers need to understand what you do in 2 seconds or less.
Think about it.
When someone drives past your store…
lands on your website…
or hears about your business…
They’re not interested. They’re only deciding:
👉 “Is this for me or not?”
And if your message isn’t clear immediately…
They move on.
This is why simple always wins.
One of the best things I ever did in business was simplify the message.
Not make it fancier. Simplify it.
That’s why something like “GOT CASH?” worked so well.
It didn’t explain everything. It didn’t need to. It just made the right person stop.
Most owners do the opposite:
They add more.
More words.
Fancier fonts.
More colors, more details.
I’ve seen coffee shops whose front door or storefront will have everything in the world on it EXCEPT the word COFFEE !?!
A better approach:
If you had to explain your business and what you OFFER in one sentence…
What would you say?
Not the polished, fancy version.
👉 The version your customer would immediately understand.
Here’s your challenge this week:
Write your message like you’re putting it on a banner.
Big.
Simple.
Impossible to misunderstand.
If it takes more than a few seconds to get it…
It’s not clear enough.
