THE TRUTH ABOUT GETTING MORE CUSTOMERS

(and what actually works)

Hey Empire Builder,

Let’s get something straight…

If you’re still out there hunting for some secret sauce that’ll flood your business with new customers overnight—you’re wasting your time.

Or, if you have been falling prey to marketing campaigns that are big time costly without results, you are not alone.

How about this one….. A marketing firm or ad agency telling you they are building your brand, BULLSHIT !!!!

If you are building a “BRAND” likely you are not reading this newsletter.

I’ve built, scaled, and sold over 50 brick-and-mortar locations that spanned 3 states and employed over 250 fulltime employees. The stuff I write is not theory. Not fluff. Real businesses with real people and real profit. And I’m here to tell you—there’s no magic bullet.

Here’s what actually moves the needle: (and it’s almost FREE and certainly simple enough for you to do on your own)

1. Consistency beats creativity.

Everyone wants to be clever. Forget clever. Be consistent.

You don’t need a viral marketing stunt—you need to show up like clockwork. Post the flyer. Talk to the customer. Employ the most sincere best trained staff. Then do it again tomorrow. That’s how I scaled from 1 store to 53 locations.

Boring? Maybe. Effective? Absolutely.

2. Relationships > transactions.

You want loyal customers? Act like a human.

Learn their names. Ask how their kid’s baseball game went. Remember their coffee order. You don’t need a fancy CRM when you’ve got a reputation that precedes you. That’s the kind of marketing money can’t buy—and your competition can’t touch.

3. Track what matters.

If I asked you how many new customers you had last week—could you answer? What if I asked you what was your average CAC (customer acquisition cost) last quarter? Can you tell me what your last marketing campaign was, how many new customers you got from that campaign and what your ROI (return on Investment) was?

If not, you’re flying blind. Doesn’t matter if it’s tally marks on a sticky note or a spreadsheet—start tracking. Because what gets measured gets better. And what doesn’t? Slowly dies.

4. Don’t go it alone.

Every great business owner I know has someone in their corner. A coach. A mentor. A circle that calls them out and lifts them up. Hell, I still have people I lean on when the pressure’s high, I have mentors and I have coaches.

Who do you have? If your answer is “no one,” that’s your first priority.

Bottom line:

There’s no shortcut. But there is a straight line: Do the work. Show up. Serve people. Track progress. Repeat.

I’ll keep sharing what’s worked for me (and what hasn’t) in the weeks ahead—real stories from the trenches. No fluff. Just the playbook that built an empire.
