FREEDOM HAS A PRICE

Is it worth it?

This week, I want to share something that hit home for me. I received an email from one of my coaches through Zander Fryer’s High Impact Coaching program. It came from Rehan Lakhani, and it’s just too good not to pass on.

“I’m often asked, why did you decide to start your own business rather than work for another clinic? So I answer with: it comes down to choosing your suffering.

You can start your own business and experience the struggles associated with that.

The revenue, growth, and scale come hand in hand with the imposter syndrome, fear, and challenges of self-development.

You can work for someone else and experience the lack of autonomy, disorganization, and having no control over your circumstances. But maybe you have the stability, team, income, and leadership you desire.

Suffering is all around us, and you can’t avoid it, so it’s quite empowering to know that you can choose your suffering. It’s a lot easier to be frustrated and complain about the unfairness of your situation, and perceive yourself as the victim of your hardship…but that will NEVER lead to contentment.

And you started your business to be content, right?

If you begin to see your suffering as a choice, which ultimately it is, you have more empowerment to stick with this suffering or choose another path of suffering. It’s really up to you.

Even the absence of choice is a choice. Contentment lies in the knowledge that you have chosen your suffering - choose it wisely; otherwise, life will choose it for you, and you will always feel like the bitter victim.

If you’ve chosen to build your own business, embrace the journey.

After all, this is the choice you’ve made.”

This short read is absolute GOLD !! All I want to say about that is “THANK YOU” to Zander Fryer for the work he does producing coaches, as well as to the author of this writing: Rehan Lakhani.

Had some quiet time in Venice this week. Think someone’s night stand reveals much about them?
