Family, Gratitude & 250 Turkeys
A Thanksgiving Message
Thanksgiving isn’t about the deals, the discounts, or even the turkey (though let’s be honest, it’s a highlight). It’s about showing up for the people who matter—family, team, and community.
Years ago, when I was running my businesses, my daughter and I had a Thanksgiving tradition. We’d load up the truck with turkeys. Actual, honest-to-goodness turkeys, not gift cards or vouchers—and drive all over town, delivering them by hand to the folks renting from me in my properties. Not just a quick drop-off, either. We’d knock, say hello, and wish them a real Happy Thanksgiving.
It didn’t stop there. Every employee on my team got a turkey or a ham, hand-delivered.
No mass emails. No “pick up your gift card at the office.” We made it personal—250 turkeys, one by one, because that’s what this season is about: showing up, looking someone in the eye, and letting them know you’re grateful they’re part of your story.
That’s the lesson I carry into everything we do at All American Entrepreneurs. Real results come from real relationships. Whether you’re building a business, leading a team, or just trying to make it through the year, don’t forget the power of showing up—especially when it’s inconvenient, especially when it’s personal.
So, from my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you get a chance to slow down, reflect, and show your gratitude in a way that means something (turkey optional).
Wishing you all the best this holiday season.
